Principal Update Sept 11

Sept 11th Updates

Good morning families and Happy Friday! I hope this week was a productive one and that you and your child were able to navigate your virtual classrooms successfully.  I know there were some technical issues to be worked out here and there so thanks for your patience as our staff works to get things right.  I know Online Learning isn’t always easy but I know that, once we all get into the groove of the school year, you will all be pleased with your child’s progress and engagement. As many of you know, an area of focus for these first two weeks has been STUDENT CONNECTION and making sure that all of our students feel like part of a classroom (not just faces on a screen).  I hope your child has had a chance to bond with their teacher and peers and have begun to feel comfortable in their whole groups and small groups. If you do not feel that this is the case, please reach out to your child’s teacher.  Our amazing staff will do whatever it takes to build a relationship with your child.  And, as always, I am happy to answer any questions you may have so feel free to email me.  We are here to help! Please see below for some updates and info.  Have a wonderful weekend!  --MM

Tech Support for Families – I know that there have been some tech issues with some of the district Chromebooks. If you are having any of these issues, please click HERE for troubleshooting tips and the Tech Support phone number (619-732-1400). In addition, when logging into Zoom, try using the Zoom app instead of going through a web browser such as Chrome or Internet Explorer.  Some parents have found success with that.  Click HERE for a jobaid (thanks Mr. Newell!).
