Good afternoon LPE families! Remarkably, here we are at the last full week of school. Amazing! This year has definitely offered its share of twists and turns but, as always, our staff knew our community supported us through it all and I can’t express in words how comforting and motivating that feeling is for us. We appreciate you all and we are looking forward to finishing off the year strong! Please see below for some updates and reminders about the last few days of school.   1. If you have not done so already, please let us know if you plan on sending your child to campus next school year or if you would like to elect to have your child attend SDUSD’s online “Virtual Academy.” Please complete the survey below as soon as possible so we can adequately prepare for 2021-2022!

  1. This year, students may keep their district Chromebooks throughout the summer (even if they are moving on to 4th grade). These computers have already been checked out to your child (like a textbook). Please take good care of them! Click HERE for some “Laptop Care” tips. If your child will be attending a school outside of SDUSD next school year, you may return your child’s computer to our Main Office.

 

  1. Registration for SDUSD’s FREE summer program, Level Up San Diego, is now open to ALL SDUSD students. If you are interested, click HERE. Level Up San Diego is not offered here at Loma Portal but your child may attend this program at Ocean Beach or Dewey Elementary.

 

  1. In addition, our on campus before and after school program, Klassic Kids, is offering a summer program on our campus. This program is being offered June 21st-August 20th, 5 days per week, 7am-6pm.   1. REMINDER…..Our last day of school is Tuesday June 15th and dismissal will be at 12:00pm for all students in grades K-4 (TK will have their usual 11:30am dismissal). “Grab and Go” lunches will be available for ALL students as they exit campus.

 

  1. New Student enrollment for the 2021-2022 school year is now OPEN. Spread the word! Enrollment info can be found HERE.

 

  1. Report Cards will be available to parents via the Powerschool Parent Portal beginning on Tuesday June 15th. For help in logginginto the Powerschool Parent Portal, click HERE.

 

  1. If you haven’t done so already, please take a moment to complete our CA Healthy Kids parent survey. This survey gives us valuable info about how we can improve our school!
